    It's almost official according to Richard Schaefer for a September date, probably fighting in LA.
    Expect it to happen in September.

      That's what most of us have been saying for 2 days lol. Cotto is probably going to fight Gomez and Margarito looks like he'll be fighting on the same card against Judah, if they both win I think a Cotto-Margarito match will be made.

        Bad planning by Cotto's people.

        I know we hear it all the time to the point that it's cliche, but styles make fights. And Margaritos not only able to capitalize on his reach and leverage, but he can do it for 12 and is a legitimate tough guy, it doesn't look like a smart match up for Cotto. Plus Cotto's style is made to give Floyd problems, all in all if Cotto loses...He'll never be able to find out cause Floyd sure as hell won't fight him. But if he wins in dominating fashion, I can't imagine Floyd being able to ignore him for long.

        Too much of a gamble for my taste, but I'm not really feelin 2008 right now

          At least he's willing to take risks. I agree, it will be a tough fight for Cotto.
