Roy Jones's Gameplan on display

Check out the first two rounds of Tarver-Jones 3 if you have it in your collection. The first round might be the worst round of boxing I've seen since Fridge-Manute Bol on Fox. Basically Roy bouncing around the ring bojangling and threw few punches. What he did throw were leaping potshots that Tarver could slip. I think that is pretty much his plan for Tito. If Tito can avoid those, he wins the decision based on being the guy not running away. I;m more convinced than ever that this will be a boo-worthy fight after watching the relatively recent third Tarver fight

i couldnt disagree with you more... jones was so gunshy in that fight after coming off two UNREAL knockouts... he was totally gunshy... hes definitely past that from everything ive seen... i wont say anymore theres no point in arguing something you cant prove... just watch saturday

Maybe you are right but that was against two guys who couldn't punch so you are right, we'll find out Saturday. One thing that worries me enough to not buy it is that Roy doesn't and has never really fought for the express purpose of being crowd pleasing. Much like Barrera, he'd be content with an ugly W. I think this could be a fun fight a la Mayorga-Vargas if they both went in to take the other guy out but I don't buy the prefight bluster

I think Jones' gameplan will be to make him miss and make him pay, test his chin early and see if he can take the shots, he knows that Tito is a slow starter and that he can catch Tito early. I doubt he'll be the aggressor, it's just not his mentality.

read tha tarticle about papa trinidad and merkerson...ivebeen watching roy throughout his whole career.... ive personally seen a focus in his eyes i havent seen in awhile... a determination.... he knows hes had a lull... he knows people think hes shot... i dont think he likes it very much
