and that was with a named fighter in Shane Mosley. 350k seems low, even Mayweather-Baldomir did around that much.

Moneywise = FM-DLH II makes sense

but it doesn't for the fans or boxing...floyd fight Cotto already

There is a big difference between the rematch and the first fight. On the first fight there was one superstar fighting, now there are two superstar fighting. After last year, floyd has achieved that status, and even if it nos sells the same as the first, is going to get a lot of money anyway. Remember that a lot of people that are saying that no way they would buy the rematch, they will after all the promotion and the hype generated before the fight. Its impossible to no get hyped up before a really big fight. So floyd move on fighting Oscar makes a lot of sense, cos if he wins then great for him, he will win a lot of money, stay undefeated, stay a superstar and then he can fight cotto, or williams, etc...If he loses, then the trilogy will come and even more money xD. So with this fight floyd has a lot to win and very little to lose. Also by fighting DLH again, his superstar status will grow even more, so its a very intelligent fight to take.
Now, of course all people want floyd to fight the best of the welter, but he still has time to do that, and im sure he will.

Well, that imo, and if its a good move or bad for boxing i dont know, but at least having another mega fight this year will continue to be somthing good for boxing.

Isn't this the same thing Floyd did last year? Didn't he say the only fight he would fight last year was DLH and then couldn't help himself when the Hatton money presented itself? I think everyone wants a payday with DLH-FM II and get the hype going for a fight against Cotto. If Floyd fans are lucky, he might do some dancing in between the two fights.

I'd really love to be wrong about this, but FM-DLH II still does more PPV buys than a Cotto fight. I hope your guess is accurate because it would be a major disappointment to all involved.

i disagree. I personally am not ordering it. my brother and his freinds who are UFC fans, ordered it becuase of all the hype, were a little disapointed, card wasnt great, fight wasnt GREAT etc..i know they arent getting it..alot mainstream and real fans are getting it

not as many people are gonna order it, maybe half will if that, bt half is still a lot of money so...

Same here, but to be honest with you there are a lot of fans, Oscar is a huge name, Floyd is becoming one, I bet you more than half of the poster who are saying they wont watch it or pay for it, eventually will. Casual fans will pay anyway, I'm ready to bet anything this one does over 1.2 million buys
