common guys size doesnt win fights.
size doesnt win fights... unless its this particular instance... if floyd was a bull rusher like a hagler he might have a chance... but a 5'8 boxer.. isnt beating a 6 3 boxer puncher with a LOOOOOOONG jab.... i mean yes he could do it... but the probability is highly unlikely

At this point, I'd almost have to agree.

If they had a Welter-weight tourney and you had to pick a winner, who in your mind could you see beating him?

Kermit Cintron has the best chance because he has that one-punch power, but then again, Margarito has pop as well and we saw what happened.

      Paul 4 Prez in 2008!

This Is Why I Put In My Posts A Lot That Posters Like You Lack Substance And Are Closeminded As ****. You Really Have No Logical Explanation As To Why He Beats Every Fighter At Ww. You Lave Out His Flaws And Only Focus On His Punch Output, Reach, And Weight, And Decent Handspeed. You Don't Beat A Cotto Or Mayweather With Decent Handspeed And Punch Output, You Have To Fight Very Smart, Especially Against Floyd Would/could Block Most Of Paul's Punches, And Tire Him Out If He Goes To His Left Open Body(no Cliche, Paul Leaves His Body Open A Lot). Cotto Could Attack The **** Out Of His Body Also. Paul Williams Makes A Lot Of Mistakes, And His Stamina Is Decent But Against A Guy Like Floyd Who Doesn't Waste Punches And Has Beaten Guys Who Threw Over A Hundred Punches A Round While He Only Threw Half That(defense Kills Doesn't It). Cotto Is A Vicious Body Puncher, Who Could Easily Knock Williams Out Or Down If He Leaves His Body Open. I See Williams Beating Cotto Is A Close Fight, But He's Not Beating Floyd, And The Only Reason I See Him Beating Cotto Is Because Cotto Also Leaves Himself Open A Lot Even With His Hands Held High Against His Chin And Head Tucked Under. He Still Gets Hit Against Southpaws And Speedy Fighters, And Paul Williams Would Have To Really Outwork Cotto, And I Believe He Could Frustrate Cotto A Little On His Way To Close Sd Or Ud, But I Could Also See Cotto Knocking The **** Out Of Paul For Those Same Reasons, Mainly Leaving His Body Open, And Cotto Isn't Slow, Just Not Very Fast. As Far As Beating Floyd, I See Paul Being Floyd's Toughest Fight, Seeing How He Works Through The Rounds, But He Makes Too Many Mistakes For Floyd, And Doing This, Only Gets You Beaten By Floyd. Floyd Is The One Fighter Who Could Negate Paul's Output, Because Throwing A Lot Of Punches At Floyd Won't Get The Job Done, Paul Has Long Arms, But Floyd Has The Intelligence To Get Inside Of Paul's Reach And Attack Him With With Counter Right Hands And Lead Right Hands, And Jabs Or Straights To The Body. Against A Southpaw, And Conservative's Best Punch Is His Lead Right Hand Whether Upstairs Or Downstairs, And Floyd Is Great With This. So Paul Would Have To Stay Behind His Jab And Keep Floyd Guessing All Night, Which Is Possible, But Highley Unlikely In This Fight Imo. Paul Has Good Headmovement And Moves Well, But He'd Have To Throw Floyd Off Balance And He Won't Knock Him Out At All, But He Could Jab And Move, But This Doesn't Mean Trying To Outbox Floyd, Which Would Get You Killed, But He'd Have To Confuse Floyd All Night And Keep Floyd Adjusting To His Tempo But Not Getting Comfortable With It, Because I Could See Floyd Going To His Body And Breaking Him Down, And If Paul Brings Out Floyd's Aggressive Nature, He'd Have To Be Able To Withstand Floyd's Brilliant Murder Instinct Added With His Speed, Stamina, And Methodical Style. It's Truly Very Hard To Beat Floyd, Because Of How Accurate He Is And How He Controls A Fight From Offense Or Defense. I Don't See Paul Beating Floyd. He Imo Would Beat Cintron If It Goes The Distance, Mosley If It Goes The Distance, Quitana, Judah, If It Goes The Distance, Clottey In A Close Fight, And Others. If It Doesn't Go The Distance, He's Not Beating Any Of Them Imo, Because He Won't Knock Any Of Them Out Imo.

Cotto is my favourite fighter, and has been since almost 6 years, but no he wont beat Williams.

If it was Williams fighting the Mosley that fought that night, Williams would have dominated him, 9-3 or 10-2 AKA Forrest, but Williams has more advantages than Forrest so go figure.

I pray to god Cotto doesn't fight him, he doesn't need him...

Your right im talking in the instance of a mayweather, but hell a cotto with a gameplan could do it.
I think his height means him being more immobile, More vunerable to body punches, which mayweather is an ace at, His large output creates alot of counterpunching oppertunities, Add that to him chasing the smaller guy, as deceptive as a mayweather, +the bodypunches, + jabs to the pit of the stomach, dont forget the footwork and accuracy, oh and the smarts, also mayweather will be more natural, than him at that weight,
i see a wide ud. Wiliams can win 4 rounds using the jab max.
