    Golden Boy won't lose twice...

Not if Golden Boy Promotions has anything to do with it... I hope Floyd doesn't forget in a match that he clearly won, he got a split decision... Which is as close to a loss, other than a draw, that you can get...

Floyd says he wants to build his legacy... There are no fights out there that do that for him except maybe a match with Mosley... The OLDH II fight would only generate more money which I'm sure is his logic for fighting him again... If it goes to the cards, don't be surprised...

I disagree with you on the legacy part. If he fights and beats the top 147 pounders out there it would solidify his legacy.

Mayweather should win the fight again, a robbery happening in this fight would give boxing a black eye.

Those guys aren't ready for Mayweather's level, IMO... Maybe Cotto but, definitely not Williams... If that fight (Cotto) were set today, only people on this site and boxing insiders would make it to be something significant... Some people may remember him from his fight with Mosley but, not most casual fans will... The reaction if Floyd beats or losses to Cotto would be, "Mayweather won against/lost to who?"...

I think a lot of people under estimate how well known Shane Mosley actually is.

If they build up the fight correctly, they'll know who Cotto is. Cotto is already very popular in NY and obviously in Puerto Rico. I think a Mayweather-Cotto fight would make big money.

I agree that Mayweather is on another level, but when people look back on Mayweather's resume, they'll see that he never beat a top welterweight during his reign and that could hinder his historical standing.

For the heck of it... I'm gonna ask people I see if they watch boxing... The first ten I see that do, I will ask them if they know Mayweather, Cotto, ODLH, and Mosley... I'll post the results as soon as I have them...

Technically, the rematch is justifiable. The first fight was a SD. (Even though to a trained eye, Mayweather clearly won.) I knew then there would be a rematch and I dreaded it due to the fact that the fight was disappointing. However, a SD is a grounds for a rematch. Many of us may not want to see it, but TECHNICALLY, it's justified.

Mayweather is going to win this one too.

I think Mayweather just needs to retire if he is not going to make a fight that the fans want to see. I think he needs to fight Cotto, regardless of whether Cotto wins or loses to Gomez. Even if just to hush the critics. Mayweather had a spark when he fought Hatton and it was explosive. How do you go from that to fighting Oscar again.
