Better combinations: Jones Jr. vs. Taylor?

**** this Jones vs. Mayweather, who's faster topic? It's one-sided anyway.

How about this for a barnburner?

I'm going to vote even because I don't want to sway the vote. I've only seen Meldrick fight Chavez (both times), which I don't think is enough to give a decent account of what he is capable of.

Sugar Ray Leonard was quoted as saying that he was "jealous of Meldrick Taylor's combinations." I think I heard that anyways.

Taylor pre Chavez beating. But of course the lower weights always have better hand speed so they fire off punches more often.

Wow, what the **** was I thinking? Of course this thread isn't going to get to 10 replies, because I didn't mention Mayweather.

hahaahahahah.... to be honest i looked at it... and i was like i know this dude aint talkin about jermain.. he cant be serious... lol then i saw you were talkin about meldrick.. but i havent seen him very much... i think the fact of roy weight equalled with hand speed is really whats ridiculous.. the fact that he can be as fast as 135 pound floyd mayweather... at 168 & 175... is really ridiculous too

Meldrick Taylor's were faster, but Roy's were more accurate and poetic. Still, I went with Taylor because he is SOOO fast.

Shane Mosley probably was a better combination puncher than both men though.

People often forget that Roy fought at 154lb, and in fact, at 154lb, he wasn't that fast. He simply lacked the muscle to accelerate his long arms to the insane velocities that he could at higher weights.
