Exactly, but where Hop spent most of his childhood is hardly one of the rougher Philly neighborhoods. His early childhood was in North Philly but after that he moved to Germantown.

Yes Hops is way to street for Joey, or almost anyone. But they arent fighting in the street so it doesnt matter. Vargas was too street for Dela Hoya, but look what happend..

Although Hopkins likes to bring the street into the Ring, so it will be interesting to see. Ill be rooting for him.

Are there any stories from guys that spent time with him? I think he won a few matches inside, but was he the 'daddy' of his wing? I can't imagine Hopkins biting the pillow for anyone, that's for sure even if they were 400lbs of muscle

Maybe Hopkins did play the ***** in prison here & there, who knows ? But, it doesn't matter, as that's life in the joint.

In the one he went to, without a doubt, you can be tough, but if you run on your own and cross the gangs......RIP I reckon Bhop would have died before he let anyone do that to him (didn't he knock out his 350lb builder over a payment dispute??). Still think Joe is going to beat him though
