You guys think Joe Calz is waiting for the winner??

I read in b-talk.com that Hopkins is playing the waiting game and its in Joe's court to sign.. and since Roy is willing to fight Joe in his backyard (thats if he KOs Tito), which option u think Joe will take?...and would u highly criticize him if he takes Jones instead of Hopkins?...cuz I mean, he don't have to leave his country and all... what u guys think

I would criticise him very much if he were to stay in his backyard and fight Roy Jones Jr. It's not so much that he is fighting Roy, it's that he is not coming to America. He has been fighting in a comfort zone his whole career, where the entire arena cheers and applauds for him.

It's time to step out of that comfort zone and test skills against somebody like Hopkins on a different continent. I know somebody dip**** will tell me "well hopkins never fought in europe". Yes but Hopkins didn't fight in Philadelphia (his hometown) his entire career either. America has 50 states.
B-hop has fought in MSG in New York and in Las Vegas and in Philly. All different areas apart from each other. Big difference.

Joe knows... that.. first b-hop disrespected him.... b-hops gonna negotiate HARD on the money split.. hes making joe come to the U.S.

on the other hand... if roy wins in GREAT fashion... (i know beating tito, doesnt mean anything) its basically like a hyped tune up fight... roy will goto wales... let joe take 60% of the purse... he can choose the gloves... and he they get to fight for joes title, and he can stay at the weight hes good at...

if i were joe... id say... ok i can make a lot of money fighting roy.. a possibility at beating a legend and a hall of famer... and THEN if i beat him... me and bhop can STILL fight later this year.... thats what id do if i were joe...

Joe has managed his career brilliantly. He knows that Calzaghe/Jones would be absolutely HUGE & it would be a greater victory for Joe. Roy has also said he is willing to fight in the UK!

Why wait? He can fight Hopkins then fight the winner of Jones-Trinidad and he's smart enough to know that people won't give him credit for fighting Jones over Hopkins.
