This isn't as favorable of a matchup as the majority make it seem in favor Roy. He still looked shaky in his last outing despite turning it on in the later rounds. He's shaking off the Tarver flashbacks, but slowly.

Roy will allow himself to be hit. Tito will have some opportunities.

The telling point for me is the fact that Roy still keeps his hands down. That might have worked when he was super fast but he lost a step and still does his bad habits of keeping his hands down....that won't work with the new slower Roy. He will have the hands down and Tito will clip him. Watch and see.

The same can be said of 2008 Roy Jones.

I thought you were talking about him at first glance.

Yeah in the past Roy has leaned on the ropes and does nothing sometimes for some reason. In his last fight with Tarver..I felt Tarver was spent in the last rounds and if Roy just let his hands go he would have knocked him out but he sat on the ropes and did nothing...

i think we all felt that way... he was totally gunshy in the last fight w tarver.. even manny steward was sayin near the end of the fight... if roy would just let his hands go he could still win the fight and possibly even knock tarver out...

** The ONLY thing Roy has against him this match is having to make 170.

He hasn't been near that weight in more than 11 yrs. Otherwise, he has natural size, speed, talent, power, and style over Tito.

Regardless, the fight just for money and a scalp. Means nada to legacy as these two old enough to be grandpas, and may well be by fight time.

I agree, Roy is still physically spectacular. If he can get his head right, and keep it there, he could suprise the **** out of alot of people. They think his legs are gone or some ****.

thats why i still have faith... thats the only reason... he is a spectacular athlete... if his mind is right and focused... crazy **** can happen... it he isnt... then ur gonna get another subpar performance and he should retire... if he looks quick, reflexive, and mobile.. sees openings and can hit them... then try and get a title roy
