Time will tell when he goes up against the likes of kasditas or somin.
21 is old when you have been boxing since you were 10.

He had an extensive amateur career, and he still failed to master the fundamentals.

He punched his way to an Olympic silver medal at the age of 17, and still didn't have a grasp on the fundamentals of boxing.

Here he is 4 years later, his footwork shows signs of getting WORSE, his balance is not improving, his grasp on the fundamentals is not improving.

Khan is not getting better, and he is stuck at a very amateurish level, supported only by his punching power.

Unfortunately for him, eventually, he will come across an opponent who is both fundamentally sound, and can take his best shot.

This will happen to Khan much sooner than it happened to Prince Naseem because Naseem was much more athletic than Kahn, and had much better boxing skills.

im british and i have to say i agree with some of your points

the limond fight proves exactly what nwahs is saying. he is open to be countered by anyone who doesn't stand infront of him. his chin looks somewhat suspect but he does have good power in both hands

The guy can punch. That is it. That is all Kahn has is his punch.

He stands with his feet 15 miles apart and unload bombs on hopelessly over matched opponents.[/QUOTE]

.........and his hand speed, reflexes, heart to get up off the floor make it through a tough round and make the same guy retire, not a bad repertoire for a 21 yr old

That might be becasue he knows most of the time he can finish the guy inside of 3 rounds, why would he give the opponent any chance by boxing his way through rounds!

I'll reserve judgement until I see him against better class opposition.

Khan has decent footwork, the point about him stumbling is overplayed...you need good reflexes or a great chin to be a real champion....Khan can`t seem to get out of the way of some shots, and the way he went down against Limond wasn`t a great advert for his chin.

He's still a good boxer, you dont have to be a world champion to be a good boxer.

Khan can only punch his hands are as fast as anybodys at world level ,overly matched the kid has had 15 fights & hes the comonwealth champion & hes only what 21 should h be fighting for world title at this stage ,STFU mate

he was a Silver medalists at the age of 17 & if he had 'nt stood of Kindlan & gave him so much respect & used the jab more he would have won the gold cause that is exactly the way he beat him in the 2nd fight

Khan defence is awfull IMO but he is young he can work on that ,to say he is just a puncher is just ******

Its hilarious how Ricky Hatton fans on the Hatton's official forum are also dissing Khan, yet what about Hatton's 39 bums he fought and the worthless ****ty WBU he defended like 16 times before he fought Kostya.
