Say he was past his prime and out of shape all you want, but he had struggled with weight issues throughout his career.

Trinidad is a different fighter. He was a very strong welterweight with punching power and and he also has skill on top of it. Duran fights too close and doesn't have the defense to slip punches for the entire fight. You have to give someone like this lateral movement, especially when they have a lot more power then you do and stamina at least as good. I like Trinidad by decision in a somewhat close fight.
Leonard had every right to go toe to toe with Duran dude... He was 2 divisions higher than Duran and the naturally stronger guy... Do you think Mosley will try to outslick and outbox Marquez or Juan Diaz knowing he has all the physical advantages?

          duran stops him late

he would handle titos power, (and roberto had good defence too, he wouldnt be getting tagged heaps) tito isnt as accurate or sharp a puncher(and not quite as devastating) as hearns. hearns was the only man to ever properly knockout roberto (besides when duran was stopped by joppy while still on his feet at age 47) and the hearns fight was at 154 where duran was small and his chin wasnt as great (but still good, hearns just had a bazooka like right hand)

so, i think duran outboxes and wears him down, then take tito out late

get off every PR fighters nuts, for fucks sake man!!!

tito isnt as good a fighter as hearns, and the hearns fight was at 154

really you have to start seeign past fighters nationalities, i know you are puerto rican and thats cool i understand why you support your fighters but you cant let that get in the way of fairly predicting a fight

duran would beat tito and you know it, hearns was a much sharper, quicker and probably a little bit harder puncher than tito, and that fight with duran was at 154 where duran was small and not as good

Errrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! titos left hook is the most powerfull punch ever at WW, Herans right was better, but titos left hook is best AT at WW.

Not accurate? Common now, tito was 1 of the most accurate power punchers ever.

hell KTFO Duran in 7 rounds.

never heard a boxing saying that goes, No one goes toe-to-toe with Tito Trinidad?

Whatever dude. tito never lost to a fighter who was willling to trade some with him or a equal or smaller size, dude.

the guys that beated tito are great tachticians and defensive fighters.

Tito in his prime at WW was a beast.

You have your opinion I have mind!!!!!!!!!!!!1

duran wasnt just any stand and trade boxer, he traded quite a bit but he had great defence, slipping his head, rolling off punches, etc while standing in close

                  duran was an excellent tactician

yes tito was an excellent fighter but still, duran wasnt an idiot who would brawl with tito, he would come forward but he would slip, roll off shots and swarm up close, not allowing tito to get leverage on those hooks, and even if tito did land, durans chin was still rock solid at 147, and his good D would have enabled him to avoid getting hit more than once or twice at a time by those powershots

I agree with you to a certain extent, but since I never saw tito lose at WW is very hard for me to pick anyone over him at that weight. And people tend to underrate Titos boxing skill, wich were hell of good, before he fell in love with the KO

But you made a valid argument!!!!!!!!!!!!!
