Obviously PBF out in front and interesting as said before was Klitchko tied with Ibragimov. Quite surprised about Calzaghe being so low but a good read nonetheless.

well considering some of the rigged numbers for floyd im not surprised....and im no hater, he's probably on my top 30 favorites, but in my great quality copy of mayweather-castillo 2 i counted at most 16 hits and the credited him with 22..........and i saw castillo landing at least 23(with other 9 that may have landed but i couldnt see properly) and they only credited him with 9....

and agaisnt oscar the numbers were just to rigged, sure pbf landed more clean punches, but oscar was parrying all the jabs......

High volume punches don't connect as often as pure boxers like Mayweather.

That is absolutely appalling . 100% incorrect methodology.

                It should be

                [punches thrown/opponents connect percentage]

a fighter that throws 100 punches a round, and gets hit at 20% is much more effective than a fighter who throws 50 punches a round and gets hit at 19%

That simplified. If they really wanted anything close to accurate, they would have to bias the connect percentages as a +/- over their opponents average.

So if their opponent usually connects at 30% and they hold them to a 20%, that is not as good as if their opponent usually connects at 40% and they hold them at 20%.

same thing happened in the oscar fight, I forget the round, but I counted 13 connects by floyd, an they credited him with 26 or some outlandish number.

I've always been su****ious of the accuracy of Compubox, even if Jim Lampley considers it the ultimate truth.
