Pavlik is a better boxer than I expected (I picked him to KO Taylor but mostly because of his punching power) but I still want to see him against Taylor again and some other MW contenders like Abraham, Duddy & Lee before I start praising him too much.

He will eventually step into the SMW&LHW divisions and Kessler vs Pavlik is the fight I want to see.

And that is when things changed. Everyone thought Miranda was a machine, would tear through Pavlik and then eat Taylor alive. But looking back, yes Miranda is a feared puncher. But also very limited skill wise. And if you look at Pavlik who is a good puncher, with a high output and is fairly technically sound. It should of been pretty clear than Pavlik was going to have the upper hand but instead by beating Miranda, he got the Antonio Margarito power and suddenly any opponent against him is a TKO1 win for him. So Taylor and Pavlik finaly meet, and in the 2nd round Pavliks invincibility is tested he is knocked down and probobly came within 3 punches of being stopped. But miraculously Pavlik was able to come back from that to stop the fatigued Taylor. So now with two big wins over the limited Miranda and great athlete but still slightly unproven champion Taylor, Pavlik has now become disgustingly overrated where all of a sudden theirs talks hes able to go up in weight and knock out the likes of Mikkel Kessler and shoe-in HoF'er Joe Calzaghe. So to keep it short, Pavlik is a good fighter but too many people are hyping him to be the next RJJ and in a few years he'll clean out the heavyweight division
Kessler promoter better bill him against a guy they can make a big event out of next fight to cash in on this aura of invinibility alot of people seem to think he has right now. If he fights just ordinary fighters or pretty good fighters his stock is going to go down and he's a good fighter but I really cant understand why it seemed to go up so much after the Calzaghe fight. I was dissapointed in his performance, he could have done more.

I do agree Kessler could of done more that fight he was thrown off alot by Calzaghe's speed and punch output. But a Kessler-Pavlik match up would be WAY different
