I'm not going to lie, I am not 100 % sold on Calzaghe. There is nothing in his performances thus far that yells, "I'm overrated," but I need to see a little more. Why was he fighting Manfredo? That is so weird. Why hasn't he left the SMW for ANY fights? WHy hasn't he left the UK for (except one fight in Germany) for ANY fights? These are questions we'll look back and need answers to.

There are definetly questions calzaghe needs to answer, but asking why he hasnt left the UK for a fight could be that hes a reigning 10 year world champion so he can pretty much say if you want to fight me, come get me.
We will see how well he fights away from the UK against hopkins, but i personally think this fight will further prove what a class act he is

Yeah, agreed. But, if you want ATG respect, you go get it. Not to go Patriot on ya, but the money is here in the states. B-HOP and Winky are bigger names in the $$$ world than Calzaghe. It makes absolutely no sense to go there for a fight. So... he had opportunities to bite the bullet and make those fights happen, he didn't. That decision is certainly defensible... but at the same time, it opens the door to questions.

Also. I get the feeling that Cal-Z is something of a ****. He wouldn't even go to Denmark to help Kessler promote the fight.

Hopkins will win the fight IMO. He's ready and has wnted this fight for a very long time, but Calzaghe has been twitiling his thumbs for the past 10 years and has waited for Bernanrd to get old.

Isn't it the other way round? Didn't they agree to fight 5 years ago before Hopkins pulled out?

With a nation of 300 million why is it that the USA fails to provide a significant contribution to the World apart from Bad Language and Fast food?
And very poorly organised invasions of smaller countries i.e Iraq & Vietnam.
All to impose their will on these people because they have different cultural ideas which have absolutely no bearing on the USA.
And accuse them of holding weapons of mass destruction which were never found , yet we know the USA does have weapons of mass destruction.
So why the double standard?
