Can Boxing And MMA Co-exist Peacefully?

It's hard to see both sports co-existing.
Surely 1 sport will inevitably overtake the other, and leave the other to fall by the wayside..

I think they will both always co exist, but things will stay the way they have, IE some boxing fans disregarding MMA and some MMA fans disregarding boxing but theres a big enough pool of fans for both sports to flourish.

      Both will Co-exist

It's not about picking sides, its about enjoying fights.

I like fights, I'll rather watch Kickboxing over Golf or Basketball, the more fights the merrier for me.

      1. Boxing

      2. MMA 2. World Cup

      3. Kickboxing

      4..............Everything else

I enjoy watching both but def. love boxing than MMA. I think like others stated above, they will both co-exist together. I think they are just getting a piece of the pie, if boxing has another great year like 07, then MMA might eventually start to dwindle and not have as many fans.

I want to thank MMA cause without them, boxing wouldn't have had a wake-up call.

Of course they can co-exist, just look at the PPV numbers for UFC and HBO boxing in 2007. Both did extremely well.

MMA will fade within the next 5 years, people alreayd saw Chuck Liddel get KTFO by Jackson and I think that it's eventually going to fade out, it's losing it's luster.

No, it can't and it never will. MMA can't even compete with the sport of boxing, just look at the ppv numbers. One sided.
