Can you imagine if Allan Green got a job with HBO to commentate fights? That dude is funny, articulate (he really does sound a million times smarter than any other boxer who has opened his mouth) and he really does seem to know his ****.

That like part when he talked about how different fighters can generate different kinds of power was actually very interesting to me.

He also seems to be pretty truthful when analyzing boxers. I liked how he didn't talk major **** on Miranda, he truthfully said that he isn't a great technical fighter, but he doesn't need to be, because his power gets the job done.

Also, the joke about looking at his feet to see which one he was going to kick Jean Pascal's ass with was really funny.

There is a difference between actually being articulate and trying to be articulate. And truthful? He said Miranda was ehhh hes an ok fighter. If he was truthful he would have said ...well he beat me so I cannot comment, but Id like to get a rematch. Then he made fun of Pascals opponent.... as if his last 2 opponents werent bums.

There's a big difference from coming back from a surgery to fight bums and helped you get tuned up then the quality of opponents that JP is fighting.

Though I guess it got him somewhere since he's fighting Miranda next.

He would make a good commentator. He's pretty funny.

After the fight, he hung out at the Casino and just talked to people. My pops saw him at Quicktrip the week of the fight and they talked a bit, then Green recognized him after the fight and we got to talk to him and get his autograph etc. Hes pretty down to earth and personable. Plus he remembers the people that he sees supporting him, and acknowledges them when he sees them. From a fan standpoint, thats huge.

Also got to have my pic taken with Teddy Atlas and Lamon Brewster.

So that was cool.

Stole my assumption of Green's looking at his feet. He said he will stop doing that so only time will tell. The bit about him choosing which foot to kick Pascal's ass was ****ing hilarious.

He said that Miranda is brute force, and that when his shots land, they are thudding. He said the hardest he had ever been hit was by Jerson Ravelo, who had speed to go along with the power on his punch, so it was a snapping type of punch.

Also, he never said Miranda was just OK. He said that he was not technically skilled, which is true... if you say otherwise, you are a ****ing idiot. Miranda is good, and it's not because he is skillful. He says Miranda is very powerful, and it gets the job done, which is also true.

He didn't even spew out the normal **** about when he meets a skilled fighter, he will get his ass kicked etc.

He actually just made fun of Pascal for getting wobbled and letting that bum take over the fight by the way.

The reality is Green bugs me because he is so arrogant, yet he has not done anything to back it up in the ring. Pascal got caught and wobbled but Greene got dropped by Donny McCrary..
