    Marquez easily...

Quite a few fighters are more technical than Mayweather.

Mayweather doesn't even lead with the jab.

He does make up for all that with his speed though, so it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

well at time Marquez at time Mayweather it pretty hard to tell.

But Marquez is for sure a better counterpuncher but sometimes he get lazy with his stuff just trying to set up his left hook with a slow telegraphic straight right.

I seen Marquez vs Chris John and Marquez want all tech and didnt even jab him. I though he could won but he shoot himself in the leg. it really fustrating to watch a fight abl to do something and not doing it.

Marquez can be seen as more technical, but I think he is more “textbook”, if you know what I mean.

Mayweather is possibly the best strategist (surely one of the best) I have seen in the ring on a color TV. His natural advantages are not as huge as Jones or Pea, but he makes up for it with his incredible awareness and smartness.

I think if it served his purposes, PBf could fight like JMM, but not the other way round.

Yes, I agree PBF could fight more like JMM if he chose to and as a matter of fact he was doing it against Zab Judah for much of the fight. What really amazed me was that Judah actually out boxed PBF 3 out of the 10 rounds despite using a defective style. In my view Judah is probably the most talented boxer in the world, but far from the best. I have no doubt that JMM would probably beat Judah despite the size difference. Better discipline and better technique would win in the end.

there is much more to that too.

better timing and better strategy also take into great consideration.

for example it not the jab or the cross or the hooks that going to win you the fight but it how you could use it effectively and timing it well

Judah has speed and pop to sell, on top of that he is a southpaw. But as I was saying referring to PBF. The brain makes the difference.

I would say JMM. You look at most of the Nacho Beristain fighters and they are technical as well. PBF has great ability and can do things other fighters can't do and he gets away with it because he is gifted and boxing smart.

Personally I feel Marquez has the best offensive article in the game today. He get's the nod when it comes to offensive technicality.

It's ashame we couldn't find out how PBF would be if he had no speed because that's what makes him who he is. I think his style would be highly defensive based if he had no speed because he's offensive is made up of his speed. Marquez is just defense/offense equally and mixes both up well. He can play defense well if he likes which usually turns into his amazing counter punching, or he can go on the offense and land great combinations.
