That's great news, I became a fan of Briggs after watching his wars with Tomasz Adamek, he got robbed in the 2nd fight.

Woods and Briggs are both tough warriors so this fight will most likely be a slugfest with Woods winning a UD/SD over a very game Briggs.

I hope Briggs win. Because than him and Danny Green/Mundine (if rematch occurs), fight a unification fight at LHW. Which will be great for Australian boxiung.

        I concur.

More than likely it will be ugly and Woods will grind out a win by throwing more punches in the end. And it has the potential to be a slugfest.

But Woods is simply the better fighter in reality.

It wasn't a robbery, close fight, but not a robbery. Briggs couldn't miss with that right hand all night. Clinton is a better boxer, this is a good scrap and I would rather see Dawson in with one of these guys than Tarver.

I honestly believe that Briggs, while being a good fighter, just doesn't have the desire to become a champion. Like a number of Aussie fighters lately, the talent is there but the intangibles to make it to the next step are missing. His first fight with Adamek was horribly frustrating. He would hurt him and do some great work then he would just stop and let Adamek out-box him. I hated watching that, it made me want to cry.

The second time around I thought having Lewis would have made a big difference but it was much the same. He could've been a pretty decent fighter but just lacks those extra nuts and bolts to put it into top gear and bring it when he desperately needs to bring it.

I think he will stick around being a top contender but never actually win the big one. I shall say a good fight but a UD nonetheless for Woods.

briggs is silly for taking this fight without a warm up after being so inactive lately...risky.

Rumour has it that Briggs isn't actually all that good and may well be TKO'd within 8.
