I Love Oscar vs Floyd, If.......

the fight is at 147. I think alot of you have to change your thoughts about this. Hopefully Oscar can man up and have this fight at WW. There last fight was pretty average but if your a true boxing fan then you know this fight will be totally different, e****ally if at WW.

1st off alot of the problems in the 1st fight was due to fear. Im the biggest Floyd fan there is but even I admit that Floyd was really worried about Oscar. At that time Floyd was fighting at WW and coming into the ring only at 146 pounds while Oscar was a true Jr. MW who had just decapitated a super strong guy in Mayorga. People still sweat Mayorga now and pick him to beat alot of guys. Oscar had just killed him. Everyone on here brags about Mayorga's chin & strength. Floyd had to respect that. Then you have Floyd's father coming to his camp and basically begging Floyd not to sleep on Oscar's power. He keeps telling him that you have to respect it and dont give him nothing because his left hook will knock you out. Floyd was just not going to be aggressive in that situation because he really feared that 154 would be too much for him and that Oscar could really hurt him. On the flip side Oscar was so afraid of Floyd's speed. Neither guy would show the other that much respect this time around.

If Oscar fought Cotto, Williams, or Cintron then everyone would be calling this a mega fight and you wouldnt be shocked if Oscar won. Despite what many people think, this fight will sell alot. It will sell because both Floyd & Oscar will sell the hell out of 24/7. Floyd will say that he promised you he would fight with Hatton and he did. He will say that it was his 1st fight at 154 and now he has no worries about Oscar because he knows that Oscar cant hurt him. Oscar will say that he saw how Hatton got physical with Floyd and with Oscar's size, he could rough Floyd up. His game plan will be to get very phsyical with Floyd. He's going to put way more pressure on Floyd this time then he did in the 1st fight. On top of that he would get Floyd Sr. to train him. You think fans wouldnt fall for that? If Sr. comes in then it adds so much more to the fight. He would sell the hell out of it and say that he knows how to be Jr.

Then you guys have to also think about the future. Floyd may seriously be thinking about going down in weight because the WW's are too big for him. If he fights Oscar again in a fight that is much more physical and still wins then he would have much more confidence in beating a Cotto. If this fight is at WW and he beats Oscar when Oscar is trying to bully him and overpower him then you can really judge better how he would do against a Cotto, Margarito, Cintron, Clottey, or Williams. Probally the only way you see Floyd fight any of those guys is if he beats Oscar in a real physical fight. Plus this again makes Floyd even more in the public eye. Then by time the Cotto-Margarito fight happeneds, it will make the Floyd-Cotto fight that much bigger. The bottom line is that if this fight is at WW then it will be way more exciting then the 1st fight and it also makes the Cotto fight much easier to happened as Floyd will have felt like he beat a big strong WW who got physical with him and fought like the other WW's

As a boxing fan, I rather see him defend his WW title against any of the title holders at the division. As a business partner, DLH of course.

STOP IT. You guys are ridiculous with the weights. Really you are. It doesn't make that big of difference. Mayweather totally outclasses De La Hoya. Not to mention, THE FIRST FIGHT ******. Mayweather carried Oscar to set up a rematch and make even more money.

no way man. Your crazy if you dont aknowledge the weights. Its a huge advantage. It doesnt make a difference at all for the guys around that division naturally but Floyd is much smaller then those guys. He's not like Oscar who came from the lower weights but was always a huge guy. Floyd was a legitmatly small guy and he's moved up clearly unatually. You can tell that by the way he comes into the ring under the WW limit while the other guys are over 160. You dont think that matters? Sure Floyd is still capable of winning because he is that skilled but it makes it a ton harder and I wouldnt be shocked at all if he lost. Now if he fought someone his own size or close to it then I would be shocked as hell if he even got a run for his money because he's that good. Do you really think any 135 or 140 pounder gives him any trouble? He'll destroy all of them and you know he's not bigger then them. Thats his real size

Well the one thing that sucks about boxing now is that the top guys are only going to fight like every 5 months or so. Thats why people get mad when they see stuff like this because they know it will be nearly a year later until they see the fight they want to see. I still say that it always comes quicker then you think.

Also its always best to make the public wait until they just cant take it anymore and then give them the fight. By time Cotto-Floyd comes people will have waited so long that the fight is that much more mouth watering and anticipated.

If it all goes down this way isnt the fight even more intriguing? If Cotto beats Gomez and then a tough SOB in Margarito while Floyd will have beat a tough big guy in Oscar. Thats a better fight then it is now. Floyd will be even more adjusted to WW as time goes on and Cotto will be even more in his prime. We have to be patient but as long as they keep winning, we all know that it will happened and it will be even more huge by then

Actually I'm a bit more positive and hope the fight gets made, that it turns into a complete success and that they both can retire happily. Boxing will be a better sport that day.
