    After seeing Miranda Tonight

Does anyone see a difference between the Miranda that fought Banks tonight and the one that fought Pavlik? I saw the same, slow, albeit powerful guy stalking the ring that fought Pavlik. Except that Pavlik wasn't taking any of Miranda's guff, and backed him up like he said he would. I just don't buy into that whole "weight drain" excuse at all. He looks the same at super MW as he did at MW.

anyone? I just think that he is a talent power wise, but if you put him in the ring with Kelly at 168, you're going to get the same thing you did at 160. And you know when Kelly moves up, Miranda will want a piece of him again. This is my first post, any feed back would be appreciated.

not really IMO. When he is going forward he could beat anybody at 168 if he catches them, but talent wise is not on that level.

But 168 is a better division for him.

He looked completly weight drained when he fought Pavlik, SM seems to suit Miranda perfect now, but he will probably be heading up to 175 after a few more fights.

I Saw a huge improvement. When he fought pavlik he had nothign on his punches, pavlik is lucky nothing landed like that against him. I give pavlik all the credit in the world for beating miranda but at 168 miranda is another animal.

I saw Pavlik get hit with some huge punches, punches that looked like they had as much force behind them as the banks KO punch. I just think Kelly had the better chin. It looked to me like if there was going to be any difference, it would be in Miranda's overall energy level, and although the argument could be made Miranda wanted to set Banks up, he just still seemed slow even when he moved in. I think the reason he looked so good last night is because he was fighting a smaller, shorter man and didn't need to be fast. When he fights a top 10 SMW, and that includes a HEALTHY Allen Green, I will be much more impressed. Right now I just see a man with exquisite power, but a man who can be beaten.

Miranda looked lethargic, perhaps because he was fighting david banks. Does Miranda have a history of fighting down to his opponents? I haven't seen enough of him to judge.

On the plus side he might have even more power at 168....but until he improves his technique and speed he will have trouble with the top 10 at 168 imo.

That was a spectacular knockout though, got to give him credit for that. And perhaps he was trying to set Banks up from the beginning, who knows

Miranda is what he is, a stalking slugger with major league power. He'll always have the limitations that go with that as well.

I feel the same way. Even though he probably has tried to work on his technique he will always be that slugger in the end.
