It meant more to Cotto's legacy than the De La Hoya fight did to Floyd. So in that sense it is more impressive. Oscar was the bigger man, Floyd beat him more soundly, but he was supposed to do that. Cotto had a lot of doubters before the fight, and he won the fight in a way some thought he couldnt have.

And btw... people are beating a dead horse. Way too many Cotto/Mayweather threads today.

Really? I agree alot of the rounds were close, but Cotto dominated about at least a third of them, while Mosley I think dominated only round 9. I had Cotto 116-113, but I think if you look at the fight as a whole, the victory was much stronger than that.

Floyd's win over Delahoya was way more impressive. Every stipulation you can think was put in place to put Floyd at a disadvantage. Like for instance, the fight was made at 154 were Floyd had never fought and hasn't since, the small ring, the reyes gloves, short end of the $$$, and every other pyschological thing he could think of.

Mosley moved down in weight and challenged Cotto who was champion to get a fight at FLoyd. There were no stipulation or politics for Cotto to deal with like Floyd did for Oscar.

Then you got to think about the hype and pressure of the fight. It is easy being the underdog, nobody expects you to win and they won't rip u for losing and praise you for being competitive. The favorite is expected to win and in Floyd's case expected to dominate. Cotto has never had to face that kind of pressure and he has never fought on that stage. Floyd's win over Oscar was much more impressive!

Mayweather's win over Oscar. PBF jumped up 2 weight divisions above his prime weight and beat arguably the best 154lber in the world. Cotto was at his perfect weight and arguably lost the fight against Mosley.

Floyd had advatages like, being active and in his prime. So what if the fight was at 154, thats where Dela was camapaining and Floyd wanted a title there..

you keep kicking off this GArbage.

Oscar started his career at 132..

Floyd moved up just like anybody else and got a SPLIT D to a part time fighter. PERIOD.

I might say even. Oscar had better defense and actually had the hadnspeed to connect if he threw his jab more. Mosley on the other hand got beat to the punch every single time. On the first watch I thought it was a close fight.

But rewatch it. Mosley got progressively slower from the Collazo bout. Because he couldn't do **** against Cotto. Who by the way doesn't not have the best of speed.

Oscar can't make anything but 154. Floyd could still make 140 with ease and Floyd entered the fight at 150 pounds. Floyd is naturally smaller than Oscar.
