Double Standards Cotto gains praise for fighting bums and Floyd gets hated on??

this is pathetic..we have miguel cotto a good fighter in his own right considered one of the elites by alot of people fighting some bum ass fighter alfonso gomez yet Cotto continues to get the praise like he's doing something important wtf??? why isnt he fighting paul williams or cintron?? **** even margarito?? he could even give judah a rematch... yet when floyd mayweather decides to take time off or fights ricky hatton or fights 1 of the thousands of fighters he supposedly has to fight to prove his greatness all hell breaks loose and he gets hated on anyways... Thats BS!!!

FLoyd's Accomplishments and resume of opponents he's defeated is superior to Miguel's yet he still get disrespected?? He aint the GOAT or anything like that but damn atleast give the man his props and stop hating on the dude..yall should be getting on Cotto for fighting bums

He could schedule to unify, I bet Paul Williams would be available, but he don't want none of that.

another thing that pisses me off is alot of u guys try to degrade or downplay PBF's opposition and try to pump up Cotto's opp like he is fighting Hercules or somebody

By the same double standards Floyd ducks Cotto Williams & margerito then Cotto gets called for ducking Williams & Margerito.
Its a fine old merry go round eh?
Floyd could resolve this by fighting one of his Contenders for a start.

Cotto is fighting Gomez coming off fights against Judah and Mosley, two top 5 welterweights.

Mayweather fought Bruseles coming off wins over Victoriano Sosa and N'Dou, two bums. Use some plain and basic common sense, will you?

It's the other way around...... When Floyd beats Corely its a Grade A win.. when Cotto does.. Corely was washed UP.. When Floyd beats Judah.. he beat an awesome fighter in his Prime... WHen Cotto Knocks him out.. Judah was washed up..

Mayweather beats an Old past his prime and Inactive DLH.. he is Now headed to HOF.. Cotto beats a past his prime Mosley, who beat DLH 2wice.. and was Ducked By Floyd.. And Mosely was done...

Hatton beats a 35 year old UNDISPUTED champ at 140.. KT was past it...

Mayweather beats a Tired and OLD Gatti with 6 losses at 140.. and It's a legitimate Championship...

          The Hypocricay is sickening

Judah and Mosley were past their primes but they were good victories none the less for cotto he did his thing

sosa and n'dou were top lightweights and #1 contenders for Floyd's belt at the time and he did his thing

but you have cotto saying he wants to fight all the elite/big name fighters and he goes off to fight Alfonso Gomez?? r u serious?? explain

and from my understanding at the time of the fight brussles was supposed to be the equivalent to cotto and his fight against bru was supposed to be a measuring stick as to how well he would do against cotto..im not saying thats completely accurate but that was being said at the time..

and look at Floyd's resume compared to Cottos... you cant argue there

If you've been reading the threads on this issue you'll notice that half the posters favor this move by Cotto and half don't, just like with Mayweather.
