Dawson not fighting Johnson?

There is a possibility that Chad Dawson may not fight Glen Johnson but instead his mandatory Adrian Diaconu. According to Interbox (Diaconu's promoter) the WBC hasn't approved of Dawson fighting Johnson yet. There was suppose to be a purse bid in January 7, but instead rescheduled it for next week on January 14. Good news is that we get to see Dawson fight earlier. We'll know for sure after January 14 if the Dawson/Johnson fight is official, or he may end up fighting Adrian Diaconu.

I was wondering about that too. Maybe Dawson will be able to fight Johnson first, and then face his mandatory in the summer?

Yup there is a purse bid on January 14 in Mexico City. There is a list of matchups and Dawson vs Diaconu is on that list. Is it still possible for Dawson to avoid fighting Diaconu and fight Johnson instead? Because I hope that doesn't happen.

I really want to see dawson fight johnson they should make the diaconu fight first and move the johnson fight back a few months or have the diaconu fight after the johnson one.
