In the Trinidad fight Trinidad was given that decision in order for Trinidad to keep his status. Oscar would still have his win or lose but Trinidad's would drop if he lost.

By having Trinidad win he elevates his status and helps boxing have another money maker. Oscar is money man no matter what so Boxing saw it as a business.

In the Mosley 2 fight same thing. It extends Mosley's career in order to make other big fights in Boxing. Oscar would still make other big fights win or lose.

Note:Oscar vs Sturm was done for the same reasons(Money) Oscar was given that decision in order to set-up a big PPV with B-Hop. People Boxing is sport yes but it's more of a business than a sport bottom line.

Boxers cannot win fights running away, the Trinidad fight was just. Those judges were not thinking about the pros and cons of Tito or Oscar De La Hoya's career. Two undefeated fighters, no one knew ODLH would still be a house hold name now like it started to be back then. And also, does it look like trinidad droppped after he lost to Bhop. Tito has a huge fan base, win lose or draw.
