He needs to stop complaining and keep winning his fights..Floyd is the top dog in the sport right now and has earned his position..Floyd doesnt owe anything to Cotto..Miguelito was supposed to fight Margarito after Mosley but instead is fighting a tune up fight in March.. If Miguel wants to get Floyd's attention, he needs to continue to build on his resume and maybe he should fight Paul Williams and Kermit Cintron and take their belts in order to force a welterweight unification showdown with Floyd in the future because a fight like that would Earn Alotta Money for both fighters..But who knows its well known Miguel doesnt choose his opponents his management team does and thats why he didnt fight Floyd a few years back because they knew Miguel would probably lose..it was smart by cotto's management not to pursue a fight with Floyd because this past year or so Miguel has gained valuable experience and exposure and doesnt have a blemish on his record so far.. all cotto has to do is keep winning and adding to his credentials and he'll eventually earn a shot at Floyd..Miguel should stop complaining and maybe focus on fighting Williams, and or Cintron.. Floyd is the Top Guy in the sport right now and Miguel needs to step his game up if he wants a shot..

Guess its kinda like fighting Ricky Hatton(a NON welterweight). Until Mayweather actually earns his stripes as a welterweight, you are gonna hear threads about Cotto. Mayweather needs to fight a prime top 5 welterweight. Its a wonder why he hasnt been stripped yet...

Of course he should, but haters wouldn't even be satisfied if Floyd KOed christ. You see how they idolize Cotto's win over a Zab Judah who had just lost to Mayweather already with out ever regrouping from it, while Mayweather beating him isn't all that important. If Cotto beats Gomez, his fans would probably rate him as an atg. I'm a bit more realistic and see it as a coward's way out for a future pay day. I see why Floyd doesn't care about him and his fraud promoter.

Yeah, the Gomez fight is silly. He did fight two legit opponents last year and is still in the stage of his career where he's allowed to "cash in" on those wins. Let's just hope he doesn't make a habit out of it. Hopefully we'll see Mayweather/Cotto by the end of 2008.

well he beat the same guy that beats DLH twice so i like his chances. Even that mosley is 37 i bet my money with him in a third rematch with DLH so if cotto beats Mosley ofcourse he has a legitimate shot to beat DLH.
