If you mention Cotto and Defense at the same time you might as jump from a Balcony or hang yourself. I think Mayweather is a **** and I dont really like him but Cotto has got a style to make him look very impressive. What will Cotto do? If he boxes with Mayweather he will lose badly, If he pressures he will lose, Simple, Judah was inactive and lost his previous two fights but it was a good win, The mosley fight was very close which clearly told me Cotto will never beat Mayweather. Floyd has the advantage in every single category apart from Power, and what use is that Power when you cant connect properly on a defensive wizard.

I love how people act like Cotto has some invincible defense or something. Shane Mosley and Zab Judah both landed some great clean punches. He seems to be open for the overhand right (Which is one of Floyd's best Punches) and the right uppercut.
He also didn't "jab" Shane to death. He used it sparingly, but didn't stick to it. He outgunned him in the early rounds which gained him points. Cotto never really was close at all to finishing Mosley off and that fight was still really close. The Zab fight was a domination yes, but Floyd picked him apart and I think he could have had him out of there if it wasn't for the foul nonsense that Zab did.
The only reason I think Cotto would lose to de la hoya is because De La Hoya doesn't have a strong right hand and lost his legs.
The key to beating Cotto is outboxing him. Malinaggi gave him some annoynace with it as did Mosley. Judah couldn't adapt to Cotto, unlike Floyd who adapts perfectly well, and so he got dominated.Comment

He knocked Hatton out backing up. Tszyu KOed Judah in 2 rounds but couldn't hurt Hatton. Cotto got an 11th round stoppage at a higher weight class over Judah, and only after low blowing him twice (and still, Judah was stopped on his feet).
