every fighter deserves a easy fight, how can anybody say cotto is being protected, judah and mosely were champs, why cant cotto fight gomez when we let pacman fight larios and that other guy, floyd faught shambre mitchell, oscar faught kamau,Cal faught bika. ever fighter deserves an easy fight.

Gomez is not an easy fight tho. he doesnt have the skill that judah and mosely had but he has as much heart as mosely and more than judah. he has desent skill and he can pull of an upset, he has been in there with bigger guys and took lots of hits, so cotto might have trooble walking thrue him

Anyways, Floyd has never since Super-feather weight fought anybody as cheap as Gomez. No respect for Cotto whatsoever on this one. Biggest coward move of 2008. Protected fighter.

No Clottey, or Williams, or Cintron, or Tony, or even Berto or Collazo, but Gomez..

Only because it confirms what I said previously about Cotto's protected status.

clottey wants the ibf title he said right after the fight he's looking for cintron.

williams is already in a fight in feb.

        cintron is injured

tony needs to proved for a title fight.

        collazo WHERE HE AT???

Berto too green i will bet gomez would beat him.

anyone else see this as not being a walk in the park for cotto?

id still take cotto for a win... but i dont think gomez is a push over

Arturo was so shot it hurt to watch the fight. I was there and it was a sad sad day.

Just because Gomez could hit a slow / worn out Gatt wth rght hands all nght doesn't impress me a bit.

5 - 6 years ago Gomez would have been knocked out by Gatti, badly.

So ..... I think Cotto makes easy work of this fool.

cotto doesnt really have the best D or fastrest hands so gomes can get some hits in and make it just a bit harder for cotto. i dont think cotto would eat him up as easly as some people think

              You're probably right.

Cotto would have to get caught with a Corley like punch, where he didn't see it and walked into it. And that doesn't seem very likely. This will be like the Quintana fight.

No ****, your Stepfather Mayweather won't fight Cotto... THat's why this fight is being made.

You must have thought we were talking about Mayweather Vs Gomez. Cotto is all about challenges unlike FLoyd who is all about manipulating his legacy.

Gomez has heart for takin this fight, but I think Cotto's speed will be the main factor here. I don't know how tough Gomez is, so I'm gonna say he gets stopped mid fight.
