    The other Sugar Ray...

A gold medalist, who apparantly was pretty good. He got a draw with Marvin Hagler early in both of their careers.

I heard he had to quit because punishment to one of his eyes took the vision away from him in that eye.

Was this the reason his career went into decline and he has been the only Sugar Ray who isn't known as an all-time great?

    Sugar Ray Seales...............................

I had he gave Hagler trouble, but then Marvin blitzed him in the third fight and stopped him in 1 round, not unlike Roy Jones when he had problems with Montell Griffin.

Seales' bad eye did end in his career, but to be truthful, he wasn't nearly the talent of a Ray Leonard. Nobody noticed the draw with Hagler when it happened, but it sure does look good in retrospect. I never saw it, but you have to consider that it happened in Seales' home state Washington.

There is actually an article about the many past "Sugar's" who have made it and failed in this sport.
