Diaz is Likely Stripped, Katsidis The New Champ

Willie Savannah, manager of WBO/WBA/IBF lightweight champion Juan Diaz (33-0, 17KOs), has received an official letter from WBO President Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel, giving him three-days (from the date of the letter) to accept a fight with WBO interim-lightweight champ Michael Katsidis (23-0, 20KOs) or Diaz will be stripped of the title. Once Diaz is stripped, the sanctioning body would promote Katsidis from interim to full champion. [details]

if that is what the rule says, so be it... strip that wbo belt out of juan. juan still have two belts left, and still the most bankable lightweight at the moment. its no surprise being stripped of title if your loyalty to the sanctioning body begins to fade! go juan and destroy campbell, then exterminate katsidis later!

How funny would that be if Juan Diaz ended up unifying the lightweight division like 10 times?

Id like to congratulate the WBO for working in the best interests of the sport of boxing... wait.

Good stuff, Katsidis will have more drawing power now and a potential fight must happen between them.
