Hatton-Pacquiao: Boxing History or a Mismatch?

"Is he crazy? (Ricky) Hatton will beat the f**king socks off of (Manny) Pacquiao.” So opined the ever loquacious Floyd Mayweather Sr. in an interview Monday with Boxing Scene’s Rick Reeno. [details]

****** article. It is well documented that Ricky Hatton and Pac-man come into the ring at the same weight. Both are the same height. Pac-man has a two inch reach advantage.

This would be a perfect match-up.

Pacquiao has already embossed his piece in history. If ever Pacman-Hatton comes, Pacquiao has nothing to lose... he has everything to gain. The pressure is on Hatton... to win against the former FLYWEIGHT CHAMPION!

Well documented? Pacquiao has come to the ring once that I can recall at over 140 pounds. Weight has nothing to do with it. That is ridiculous logic. Pacquiao started at 106-pounds. Hatton is physically much stronger than Pacquiao and he's very fast at 140, where Pacquiao would be sluggish at that weight (also said by Freddie Roach in a past interview). Look at how sluggish Pacquiao was for Barrera when he came in at over 140 on fight night.

Lets talk about this 1 when it actually gets signed because it seems a little far fetched at the moment.

Word. I hope it happens though...the fight...can't wait for Pac to NOT be contesting P4P leadership with Mayweather, the true P4P King. Plus it would be awesome to see Pac get his ass whopped.

Pacquiao was never sluggish in his fights. In Pacman-Barrera II, Barrera refused to exchanged hard blows with Pacman... and Pac was way ahead on points... he was just protecting his lead! Pac did the right thing.

Yeah, he said it would be like Gatti.

I gotta give him the good decision card for his pick of Hatton-Pacquiao.

Pacquiao is just too small to hurt Ricky, and too small to take Ricky's shots... IMO. He is coming up from 106 career-wise after all.

When this fight happens and if Pac beats Hatton.

ALL so-called idiot American critics will be crying in their pants.

And it will establish once and for all Floyd as a fake and Pac as the greatest of his era.

                    On the other hand.

Using plain and basic common sense.

This is what greatness is all about.

Not some Fake FLoyd fighting a blown up Hatton then retiring like a ***** on the pretense that he has done enough.

On the contrary, he has done nothing,

                    When will the ******ity end?

Can anyone be dumber than that? Believing Fake FLoyd's hype over a blown up Hatton then retiring like a chicken so that he won't have to fight Cotto, Williams, CIntron, Margarito, etc.

                    Real Welters.

                    What a ****ing joke.

And a lot of you gus here seems to buy into this joke.
