Haha you're right, finally someone else who is reasonable and doesn't see what the hype is about.

hype and overrate are different things.
I dont care about his media hype or fan base because its to be expected with a freak like him.
Im talking about his boxing ability being overrated.

A good portion of the world was buzzzing off of Margirito being the one who could take out flyod & then BAM. Paul Williams comes along and beats him. He's 6,1, undefeated, 147, southpaw, champion, with a good jab and a great work rate. He's a freak in the division and anyone & everyone will have a problem fighting him, whether they win or lose. Thats why he's hyped up in these forums, but sadly he's not hyped by the media at all. No one still really knows him. Overrated by real boxing fans, underrated by media. Kinda equals out to me.

                Good point!

I agree with you mostly but I don't think he has the greatest jab nor do I think he uses his height and reach advantage to it's full potential. Margarito was able to get inside on him, Paul just outworked him. If he learns to use these advantages to the fullest I can see a good career for him as he enters his prime.

I do wonder how long he can keep getting down to 147 though? He must have to go through hell to make that. At 154 I don't see him as, as much of a threat.

People are talking about him dominating at 168 lbs, but honestly he'll have to learn how to box because he ain't packing dynamite at 147, let alone at Super Middle.
