I believe RJJ didn't want anything to do with Benn after the McClellan fight (not because he was afraid but because he didn't want to be reminded of what happened to Gerald). Jones was a good friend of McClellan and Benn seriously injured him. Benn was never the same after the McClellan fight anyway.

Collins would've lost badly but robjr believes everyone ducked RJJ which is not true. Many people wanted to fight him but never got to.

He is reported to have stated in Boxing World that he has spent so long chasing Roy Jones Jr that money was not an important factor any more and that he would "fight him in a phone box in front of two men and a dog".

Collins definitely wanted to fight Roy.

In fairness Steve Collins would have got slaughtered by Jones, but that still stands. I'll never understand why Benn didn't fight Jones, he'd have about 30% chance of beating Jones in my mind, more chance than anyone else, surely worth the money. Might be deeper issues to why he turned a fight down.

I'll counter your argument again.

Both Benn and Collins had fights scheduled AGAINST each other when Roy Jones made those offers.

Benn had just lost to Malinga and Collins, why would Roy Jones offer him a fight then anyway? Why not when he had just beaten McClellan?

About those other dudes, I don't know, maybe they ducked RJJ.
