Seriously. Punching and getting blocked or barely hitting someone.. Following them around while they dictate the the general action. I don't give rounds for that.

Honestly, Ngoudjo fights MUCH more aggressively then he was allowed to. He missed a lot, and I just don't see how someone could say he WON. That's insane, to me.

if you watched it with it's ture commentators, watch that fight, WITHOUT sound, you'll see that Malignaggi did more. Al Bernstein apparently hates Paulie.
I watched it with French commentators. That fight did not go the way Malignaggi wanted it. It was scrappy as hell for the majority of the fight and frankly I don't give boxers credit for tickling their opponent which is what Malignaggi did far too often.

What is your idea of tickling. You referring to his jabs/softer punches or the holding that they both applied?

I'm referring to both. He was throwing jabs from his wrist and landing some insulting punches and whenever he got close to Herman he would completely misjudge the distance and thus ruin his chance of scoring a good punch while at the same time getting clocked himself.

Well.. since *****-ass Showtime doesn't do CompuBox, I dont' know who landed more. But I'm guessing at the WORST, it was even. And Malignaggi threw LESS. Furthermore, Ngoudjo landed about 10 MEANINGFUL punches, and only 1 hurt him. neither was POUNDING the hell out of eachother.

If you're going to knock someone because he lacks a natural thing like power, that's up to you. I don't do that. It's boxing, not punching the other person harder. Sometimes that does win it for you, but that's not the only way to win. If you're the better technician in the ring and do the better work, display/use the better skill, you win to me. Especially if that's what it boils down to.

Was it rougher than Malignaggi likes it? Yes, but Ngoudjo would have preferred it EVEN WORSE. And didn't get that. Meaning it was about in the middle of where both would have preferred it. That makes the issue a moot point, essentially.

You're entitled to your opinion, I'm just saying.

If Ngoudjo only landed 10 meaningful punches how many did Maliganggi land exactly? One? Two maybe?

Meaningful by who's standards? Essentially, I could say none since he punches like an infant. In terms of how hard he punches, I can say he landed more than Ngoudjo. He also jabbed better. Used **** movement, that STILL worked well enough for him and dictated the pace to atleast stay fare between the two. All while throwing a soft, **** jab. That wins a fight for me.

He was dictating the pace for the first couple of rounds but after Ngoudjo landed a decent punch on him he seemed to lose his way for several rounds and only really recovered in fits and starts. The fight wasn't as ugly as the Castillo fight but it was a hell of a lot uglier than Paulie is used to.

I'll agree with that. We just disagree on who looked best in an ugly fight, I guess.

I gave it 116-112 for Pauli, but it could have gone either way, some rounds were close.

Further, Ngoudjo hurt Malignaggi three times. Malignaggi never even came close to hurting Ngoudjo once. All his punches were thrown for form. I had it 117-112 for Ngoudjo.
