Malignaggi vs Ngoudjo - WHO WON?

Malignaggi is the more marketable guy which is why they gave it to him.

I have to agree with this. I am not saying he definitely lost, but when you have a judge scoring the fight 117-111, its just completely bogus. THey wanted paulie to win because he is the cash cow.

Paulie is a pretty good fighter, but he doesn't hit with enough power, and he gets hit too much, his d is suspect. But hes quick and a good counter puncher and has a good jab. He keeps his left too low, and his right is down by his waist. I do not understand why so many boxers box this way nowadays.

It was obvious early, even as Paulie was popping that jab consistantly, that he was in with a much stronger fighter. He never hurt or cut the guy.

The same thing that happened tonight, is more or less similar to what happened in the Cotto Corley fight. Certain fighters are groomed for big fights down the line and when they hit bumps here and there, the judges or refs help them along.

I only saw 7 rounds but it looked like Paulie was getting hit very hard.

it definetly was a close fight.. but you gota watch it again and youll see what I mean.. ngoudjo landed some big shots that stand out more.. but in the end paulie landed alot more...

Paulie was off tonight but I had him winning barely but this could've gone either way, this was not a robbery like some people say.

How one judge only had Negrudo winning three rounds is beyond me. I couldn't even justify a draw for Paulie in that one. I appreciate boxing skills, but holding on like a batty boy and getting ****** silly for most of the second half of the fight (as well as giving away some rounds in the first half)... I just can't understand why Negrudo isn't the champ today.

Malignaggi by 115-113. Ngoudjo certainly was the more threatening fighter but he was too wild with his punches. Even in the 7th when Paulie was rocked, he wasted too much effort, whilst making little ground.

If you ask me Ngoudjo didnt do enough to take it and it was definitely up for the taking. Malignaggi didnt show up last night. He only won on my card because Ngoudjo didnt throw enough punches.

So no I dont feel sorry for Ngoudjo. I think both guys could have done more to win it, and Paulie got lucky with the win. If he would have lost I wouldnt have been shocked. I cant believe he even gave the 12th away even when Buddy was pleading with him.

Both guys were tired in the 12th too after a not to grueling fight. At least Ngoudjo went out in the 12th and tried to win it.
