    rich trainers??

How do boxers work out how much they pay there coaches for training?? Is it like 10% of the purse to cover time and training costs? Or do they pay like everyone who wants private training?
It got me thinking because if you have a world champion in your stable your going to make a alot of money if they get big purses.
I can imagine the likes of manny steward, freddie roach, roger and floyd mayweather being multi millionaires. esspecially roach who trains pac man, toney and oscar for the floyd fight. He must of made a killing in 2007/

yea they make some nice money. I don't understand why delahoya wasts his money on popular trainers and the same thing with guzman its not like they are going to learn anything else. If i was oscar Ill get a average trainer he doesn't need to waste his money on big names. Look at taylor he took manny and he actually regressed.

Its not about whether they are going to learn anything else. It's very hard to make an objective and unbiased assessment of your performance and training, so it is always good to have an outside opinion from someone who may be able to notice small things you are unaware of.

The popular trainers tend to be popular because they are the best at picking up on the small things that make the difference at the highest level
