It's true, no one wants to fight Paul Williams....

And it is true, PW does call out just about every welterweight. But the reason he hasn't gotten a fight is because there is NO MONEY in a fight with PW. It is too much risk for too little reward. Honestly, outside of boxing fans who has heard of PW? I was at the Home Depot he had fight with Margarito, the venue seats maybe 5000 people and the place was easily half empty.

The truth is PW hasn't fought anyone. What elite fighter has he fought? Much less, has a win against? His only notable wins came against "B" level (Mitchell, Mathysse,*Margarito) competition, at best. Because he hasn't fought an "A" level fighter no one knows how he is going to respond when he faces real adversity. Plus, he's a very tall southpaw that throws many punches. That combination equals too much risk for NO MONEY.

My prediction is PW will not get a major fight in 2008 unless he KO'S Quintana impressively. A mere decision won't prove anything.

Having that said, if he does KO Quintana impressively, who would you like to see him fight first? Mayweather, Cotto, or Mosley

    * In my book, at the moment, both PW and Margarito are unproven fighters because neither of them have ANY notable wins against an elite fighter.

Looks like we can scratch any Mayweather, Cotto or Mosley fight for Paul. Basically, he has been exposed and he's done....

I wouldnt call Margarito B level. I'd say A- level. I think Williams didnt train hard enough for this fight, he wins the rematch I think.

You could very well be right. I think Margarito's real ability is still unknown. I give him a B at the moment because of his performance against Paul Williams. I want to see Margarito in with Cotto if he gets by Cintron. If he does excellent with Cotto, win or lose, I'd probably bump him up too.

I think Paul Williams is too big for WW. Look for him to move up soon, maybe in his very next fight? Paul Williams has a CHIN. His biggest problems will probablt be his power and defense.

Look for him to be the stepping stone in the JM division for the next two years......

I called that Williams had no defense and was a lazy arm-puncher who punched from the elbow and didnt bring his hands back, but I got flamed for it at the time. I wont pretend like I called this fight, but I did say that Williams was overrated.

PW/AM 2 is a toss up. Other than being as tepping stone for elite fighters on their way up, he's done...
