According to the Floyd Sr. interview at F****hype, he acknowledged that Ali tried to fight an mma guy once, and ended up on the floor with swollen legs.
Is it true that Ali got owned by an MMA guy?

I saw video of him fighting a wrestler, but we all know how fake that is. Was there even MMA back in Ali's day?Comment

i know of this incident. i have it on tape.
this was inoki(a wrestler) vs ali. the wrestler basically butt-scooted the whole time while kicking at ali's legs.
i beleive in ended being a draw. i did see, after the fight, that ali's legs were swollen and he could barely walk.
i'll find more info - what i stated is based off memory.Comment

Not exactly. He fought Japanese pro wrestler and MMA guy Antonio Inoki about 30 years ago. I saw this on closed circuit TV. The wrestler fought the entire fight on the ground, kicking at Ali's legs. Ali tried to get punches in, mostly unsuccessfully. The whole fight took place over 15 rounds that seemed like forever. Ali did have problems with his legs afterwards from all the kicks. This wasn't fake, because if it was it couldn't have possibly turned out this bad. You can probably get a tape of this, but don't say you weren't warned. I'd never watch it again.Comment

The guy was a pro wrestler named Antonio Inoki. He & Ali went at it in one of the all-time farces.
Inoki apparently laid on his back, & repeatedly kicked at Ali's shins ,throughout the entire 15rds.Comment

Antonio Inoki kicked Ali on the legs for 15 rounds, the fight was declared a draw. Ali never danced in a fight after that.
Ali was allowed to punch and Inoki wasn't allowed to grapple so it wasn't a fair fight. Inoki came up with a rather unique strategy and laid on the floor so Ali couldn't punch him.Comment
