Depends on what type of shutout.

Calzaghe-Lacy is more impressive than anything I've ever seen.

Jones Jr-Griffin II is more impressive than Mayweather-Baldomir though.

The Baldi fight was a weird situatin because had no shot of hurting him that night..I mean who has??

Tarver-Hopkins was one sided as all hell.

But when Tyson used knock people out in the first round I used to feel like my money was wasted...Is that weird.

depends. for example, if Hatton were to have KO'd Floyd in the first round, that would have been one of the most impressive things I had ever seen given the circumstances.

I chose first round KO because when you stop a man before he even returns to his corner you own him. But you can make a pretty good case for both sides here.

True but when you beat the **** out of someone for 36 minutes straight..you offcially become their dad.

Generally speaking. I'm going with the 12 round shutout. I hate to side with the CLEAR agenda of the thread starter. Nonetheless, the point for me is simple. Some shut outs are boring, and some KOs are lucky or too easy. However, if you take those away, you're left with KOs, meaning essentially a round of work, or a shut out of 12 rounds of work. The shutout takes more, in the sense that it's sustained. A knockout, can come down to the timing of one punch. It, in that sense, takes less.

Compare it to, Antonio Tarver and Glen Johnson. Tarver beat Jones in 2 rounds. Whereas, it took Johnson nearly 4 times the time. However, it was a sustained attack, it took more to do it. Therefore, to me, it's the more impressive thing.

It's like, a "great" one hit wonder, to a album full of VERY good hits.

              The album wins, to me.

thats IF you actually "beat the ****" out of them but if your just dodging and potshotting, that doesnt compare to stopping someone dead in their tracks.

For example, James Kirkland's last fight where he KO'd the dude in the first round was more impressive than Floyd's win over Baldomir imo, but Floyd's domination of Gatti is much more impressive than Vanes Martisysiosnhdjhjedhfjdehfk's last 1st round knock out.

If memory serves, Chop Chop stunned Mayweather.

I honestly dont think Floyd wouldve knocked Gatti out...If that fight wouldve went 12..Floyd wouldve gotten arrested for manslaughter.
