maybe i didn't come off clear enough. this is in no way a post comparing their accomplishments or careers I was simply comparing the tactics used by Ali in his second fight with Sonny Liston, to the tactics used by Mayweather in his last few fights.

there it is. the reason one would prolly call floyd a runner is because he may have executed a much more defensive gameplan numerous times in his career. Ali did so as well but he more than initiated his share of battles which is why you'll find it hard to find someone who will call Ali a runner off of one fight.
