It's impossible to make an educated guess; it would be pure speculation unless you have knowledge of a boxer having success with other martial arts. Perhaps Kermit Cintron since he's an accomplished wrestler. Maybe Manny Pacquiao, since he's been involved in Martial Arts. Chris John knows Kung Fu. Personnally, I think Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto & Jeff Lacy are genetically favored for the demands of MMA, they could have potential.

They've tried it before and not got very far, guys just grapple them to the floor! It quite hard to catch a guy with a knockout shot who's chargin in head down for your ankles.

vitali klitschko was a world kickboxing champ of some form, he would have gone well (as long as he didnt injure himself of course)
Cintron with his wrestling background could fair well, any boxer that could learn to avoid/block a takedown will do well ala Liddell, chuck cannot wrestle real well and has basically no ground game but is pretty much as good as it gets at avoiding a takedown and keeping it on his feet where usually he has the advantage as most boxers would
