There's a slight difference between Cotto's achievements and Junior Witter's. Cotto will make himself alot of money in the next year or two with or without the help of Floyd Mayweather but Junior Witter needs Hatton to be able to make serious money. Hatton has got himself into a position where he can choose who he fights and he has absolutely no obligation to fight Witter.

Maybe but I will lose a lot of respect for Hatton if he does. When someone has chased you for 8 years, called you out for 8 years and has finally earned himself the number one contender spot at your weight class and you are the champion, you should give him a chance.
