Roman Greenburg?

saw him on one of my wierd hd channels. he looks pretty skilled, but not too much power. what are your thoughts on him? o and i assumed somebody has heard of him, hes like 27-0 or around there, heavyweight

I don't know about him. He hasn't fought anyone good yet. His management is handling him like a prospect, so it'll probably be another year or 2 until he gets a big fight, or even a fight against a top 20 guy.

he looks to small to me and like you say his power seems average. if your gonna be a small heavy in todays division you need something that really stands out in your skill set.... i dont see that with roman

thanks for the responses guys. and that is exactly what i was thinking duran, but im gonna watch him fight again if i can find anything on the net to make sure he isnt "special", hes only 25 too.

he's had some exposure over here on skysports and his fights are shown on eurosport as well quite a bit, not sure if you get that where you are? he is young and he seems quite a good all rounder but a tad predictable and like you say nothing seems special. i think his team should get him a fight against a top 15 guy soon because people will start losing interest

Roman has GREAT handspeed and above average pop. He has below average dedication to the sport and even worse concentration in a fight. Angelo Dundee told me once that he thought this guy was a future great. Well with all due respect to Angelo, I've been ringside for too many of Greenburg's fights and I don't see him being special. Like I said he does have fast hands, much faster than most heavyweights, and does have some pop. But the depths of his soul lack the intangibles needed to be anything great.
