going with what the OP said.

    ONE Million Dollars:

    - taxes 10%
    - sanctioning fee ( i remember hearing Carlos Baldomir did not pay the IBF when he beat Zab Judah because he didn't want to pay all those belt's sanction fees, so he never got the belt) 2-5% ???
    - managers 20% ???
    - trainer 5-10% ???
    - promoter 2-30% ???
    - cost of training camp ???
    - corner 1-5%

just throwing numbers around from what you guys said above, a fighter makes one million dollars on a fight and keeps only 30-20% of it?

Is it just me or the sanctioning fee another piece of boxing political b***s***. The idea of having to pay to to hold a title doesn't seem right, and i know the federations need to get money from somewhere but they can't they just get that through sponsorship.

Someone correct me if i'm getting this all wrong, but it seems the sanctioning bodies get paid for doing relatively little other than the use of their name.
