If Bob Arum was going to pay Mayweather 7 million to fight Margarito before the Judah fight, why didn't he offer Mayweather 7 for the Judah fight itself?
If he really did offer that, which is the sole reason I don't, it would have be a dumbass decision. If he had offered Mayweather 7 million dollars to Margarito and then lets say Mayweather accepted that, then Mayweather would have demanded more then 7 million after each fight after Margarito.
"If you gave me 7 million dollars to fight a bum like Margarito, now give me 9 million to fight Zab Judah" Is probably something Mayweather would have said.
Why would Bob Arum give 7 million dollars to Floyd Mayweather against a lesser known name then against a bigger name like Judah? If he had, and Mayweather would have accepted, then Mayweather would have demanded more money in future fights.
This is the sole reason I don't believe Bob Arum ever offered 7 million dollars to Mayweather before the 8 million dollar offer, which Floyd wanted to fight Oscar and leave Bob by then anyway.
