Well he was losing Mayweather so he needed to keep his "star" alive. Margarito needed a big name star, but the winky case could possibly be different. I mean this was when Margarito already offerred 8 million to Mayweather, which I believe Arum would have because he wanted Mayweather for one more bout, but Arum probably really did offer 4 (?) million to Winky.

Winky wanted 8 million though like he offerred Mayweather.
