Arthur Mercante Jr. and Vernon Forrest

What the hell is up with these two?

First, there was the no tough gloves incident against Quartey, and Mercante seemed genuinely pissed off about it. He gave him the parental "DON'T START VERNON, DON'T START!"

And then against Michele Piccirillo, when Forrest landed a low blow, instead of the usual, neutral corner, that's a warning, here is what Mercante had to say to Vernon:

"AWWWW MAN, WHAT THE, WHAT ARE YOU... GO TO THE CORNER!"

He talks to Piccirillo, and then, grabbing Forrest by the hand:

"That's a warning, keep it clean."

He also seemed genuinely concerned about Forrest's feelings after the low blow.

He talks to Judah during the Cotto fight too. He's a decent ref though, I dont have a problem with him. I hate Nady.

In the fight with Cotto I thought Mercante treated Judah like ****. When Cotto hit Zab low Mercante told him to "shake it off Zab". He was rougher on Zab for being hit low than he was on Cotto for hitting low.
