Probably not. A faded Morales beat him in their first fight.
However, Pacquiao was pretty one-dimensional back then. Straight left or broke as the game plan.
Morales was just ****ing scary before he fought Barrera the first time.
Did anyone else watch him dismantle Junior Jones? Impressive.
YEA THAT WAS A GREAT WIN FOR MORALES WHEN HE BEAT JONES........PACQUIA IS MORE COMPLETE NOW..........I SHOULD HAVE SAID PRIME PACMAN VS PRIME MORALES.....I WOULD FAVOR MORALES BUT NOT BY MUCH
That's a good point... I didn't even think to think of the fact that Morales started at 122...
You are correct, that by the time he got to 130, he had lost a lot of himself.
I just might have to change my answer.
i assumed we were talking on a p4p basis in their primes. theres no doubt that morales has by far the greater skill set and he was a true warrior in his day. p4p i pick morales, but like you say if theres that 8 pound differential the fight leans more towards pac
At 122lbs, Morales kills Manny, no doubt about it. At 126lbs, it would be a more even war as Manny was super quick and deadly at 126lbs. At 130lbs, it's all Manny, although as Morales shown, a 1 dimensional Manny is easy to beat, even at 130lbs. But prime Manny as in, what he can do nowadays, no way Morales beats him at 130lbs ever (again).
both at their best morales still that step up, as much as he has improved pac just hasnt any technique and your never gonna beat a prime morales on just swarming aggression as a faded morales proved in fight 1
