    Diaz Signs To Fight Campbell!!

WBA/IBF/WBO lightweight champion Juan Diaz has signed his contract to fight IBF mandatory Nate Campbell in Cancun, Mexico on March 8th. "Nate Campbell is a worthy opponent who qualifies for the mandatory #1 position by winning two elimination fights," said Diaz' manager Willie Savannah. "Diaz realizes that this is going to be a tough fight as they all are and is in serious preparation for March 8th. Diaz had previously signed to fight WBO mandatory Michael Katsidis, scheduled for February 9th in Houston, Texas. This crowd-pleasing fight was squashed by Don King, but since this fight is with both fighters promoted by King, hopefully it would take place. Now that Katsidis have moved onto fight Joel Casamoyer March 22nd, hopefully for the sake of boxing, the winners could meet next."

This is the matchup that makes the most sense. He'll make the most money out of any fighter at 135.

He's gotta move up though and chase the bigger payday's.

If he stays with King, he wont be able to do any business with Hatton. Hatton won't work with King.

What are the stipulations of the contract? Did the Diaz camp get what they asked for?

Golden Boy bidded 1.5 Mill I think. Diaz was going to make a Mill for a BAD card. King had to be a ***** about it though.

King probably has some ****ed up stipulations in his contract with Diaz.

Isn't Diaz's contract with King supposed to be up in the next few months? Or did King trick him into resigning again?

This is the most dangerous fight of Diaz's career. If he's careful, he can win a UD.
