Who Else Thinks we need a SuperCruiserweight division?

Some of the best Heavyweights withot history were in the 200-225 range. Memorable fights would have never happened if the supercruiser was in effect. We wouldn't have seen Tyson knock down 280 pound tree's. Plus in a division that lacks so bad now, why divvy it up and have more titles, etc.... The heavyweight div has enough prob. Just like cruiserweight now, alot fo people would disown just the name supercrusier. People like "Heavyweight Champion of The World" ya know.Comment

That would be a bad idea, cause even know we have not manny good heavyweights, and if they would split it in two, it would be even worse. No, not good idea. Now before you guys bite my head off, just hear me out? Im all for consolidating some of the lower divisions (106-190), by eliminating the super and junior levels. But I truly think we need a supercrusierweight division. I mean why should a 6'2" 210 guy who grows out of cruiserweight have to fight someone 6'7" 260. I think we should make a supercruiserweight divison from (201-225) Whos with me?Comment

But Foreman was about 218-220 in his prime, not 208. Maybe he was 208 when he started his career, but not in his prime. The cruiserweight devision needs to be eliminated, period. All throughout most of boxing history, all of the great Heavyweights would be cruiser weights by todays standards. Its no coincidence that the rise of the cruiser weight division coincided with the downfall of the Heavyweight division.
Emanual Steward once said that as a fighter gets taller he gets less coordinated. The heavyweight division has been relegated to the realm of uncoordinated circus freaks. Any fighter below 6'5 and 240lb is considered "small".
Never mind that guys like "BIG" George Foreman came into the ring at 208lb during their prime.
The cruiser weight division is a farce, a place for slick heavyweights to hide from the Giants. The giants that they would so easily fell should they muster up the courage to step into the ring with one of them. Evander Holyfield is evidence enough of why the cruiser weight division is not needed. The cruiser weights are plenty big enough to step in there with the big boy.
Not to mention, the cruiser weight division is perhaps the least publicized division in boxing despite its deep pool of talent. A pool of talent that would have kept the Heavyweight division alive and kicking had the cruiser weight division not existed.
Look at all of the best fights in Heavy weight history. Can you name me one that was Giant Heavy against Giant Heavy? Me neither. Ali-Frazier, Holyfield-Bowe, what do they have in common? A fighter that falls within the cruiser weight bounds, fighting a real big heavyweight.
Anyone that even proposes further diluting the Heavyweight talent pool by either raising the cruiser weight limit or creating a new weight class deserves death.Comment

But youre theory is bull****. If it would be true, the cruiserweights would be the most interesting division cause thats the size of manny heavyweights of the past. But thats not the case. Its not the size and the weight what makes a good heavyweight. The cruiserweights is some of the most overlooked divisions. The cruiserweight devision needs to be eliminated, period. All throughout most of boxing history, all of the great Heavyweights would be cruiser weights by todays standards.
