How on Earth did De La Hoya beat Sturm?

I felt so sorry for Sturm. I just watched the fight then. At the end he is jumping on the corner of the ring in celebration after winning the fight, something im 100% sure he did. But then he was robbed and judges gave it to De La Hoya.

I was pretty dissapointed with the De La Hoya nut huggers in the crowd. Even if you like a fighter. And he looses a fight. You still appreciate the other fighters efforts. Sturm clearly won, and the American crowd new it, but they just wanted De La Hoya to win because its De La Hoya.

Man crowds like this and judging like this pisses me off big time.

yeah, but unfortunately we can never seem to get rid of them! every year we have a few blind type of scores in several fights! when does it end? these judges need to be better scrutinized for some of these outrages they call scorecards or it will never end!

I thought Sturm won, especially the late rounds, but I didn't find the robbery to be horrendous. I had Sturm winning 115-113 last time I watched it.

Sturm got close against an all time great, it's not the same as winning.

the fight was relatively close, but I had Sturm winning. So in my mind De La Hoya dudn't beat Sturm, the judges did.

It was a close fight. Sturm wasnt robbed, but nobody should have complained if he had been awarded the fight either.

7-5 Sturm. I can see Oscar getting a draw.
